Floating Work Platform

Expanded polystyrene is customarily used for marine work platforms. These floating platforms are typically very basic and are used to perform maintenance on boats above the waterline.

Our customer in Melbourne Florida took it to another level by building a very durable platform that also doubles as a floating dock. The marine work platform was constructed using 4 pieces of .9 lb density EPS 6” x 36” x 96”, pressure treated lumber and plywood. His golden retriever pups think it is a great place to play.

Marine work platforms are typically just a block or two of EPS, without the plywood, sized to accommodate the needs of the project.
