Universal Foam Products supplied a contractor working on The Yard at Brookhaven project with large blocks of EPS22 Geofoam to assist in building up a topping slab. The project, located in Orlando, FL, is still under construction, with a rendering shown in the photos to illustrate the finished design.
EPS22 Geofoam is a lightweight, high-density expanded polystyrene engineered for structural fill and load-bearing applications. It offers exceptional compressive strength (7.3 psi @ 1% deformation) making it ideal for projects that require precise elevation control without adding excessive weight to the structure.
By incorporating the large blocks of EPS22 Geofoam, the contractor was able to efficiently achieve the required slab height while maintaining overall structural integrity and reducing construction time.
